Dead Space (2008)
Brief thoughts: There are a lot of issues with this game's content. The primary mechanic revolves around dismembering space zombies, and the player even witnesses several murders and suicides. On top of this, there is an evil cult that actually worships the zombies. |

Dead Space 2
Brief thoughts: Like the first Dead Space game, the gameplay revolves around dismembering space zombies. This time though you'll also have to deal with zombie children and infants, and the game's story takes a deeper look into the zombie-worshipping cult. In particular, players are shown that it's exploiting its members, much like real life cults. |

Deepest Sword
You're off to slay a mighty dragon - except your sword may not be long enough to get the job done. Brief thoughts: Nearly all of the humor in this game revolves around sexual puns, and frankly, that's really all there is to make this game interesting for more than a few minutes. |
|||||||||||
The Deer God
Brief thoughts: While there are supernatural forces (such as the titular Deer god) and some mild violence, this game's just too unstable to really enjoy. |
|||||||||||
Demon Hunter: Chronicles from Beyond
Brief thoughts: While the scary portions of this game have a tendency to come off as silly, the player will need to interact with occult artifacts and eventually banish a demon. |
|||||||||||
Dig Dog
Brief thoughts: Similar to older arcade games like Pac-Man or Galaga, characters "pop" when defeated. Other than this, there is nothing to be concerned with in this game. |
|||||||||||
Dig or Die
Brief thoughts: Every night, the aliens enter a mindless rage and try to kill you. While these battles are not graphically depicted, the enraged aliens will sometimes leave behind small pools of blood that you'll need to collect for crafting materials. |

The Disney Afternoon Collection
Brief thoughts: There is some fairly mild violence, as defeated enemies simply get bounced off the screen. Also, while Disney's penchant for magical mischief appears to some degree in nearly every title, it stays very tame and never gets more spooky than the cartoons the games were based on. |

DLC Quest
Brief thoughts: There is a very small amount of violence. So little in fact, that warning readers about it seems silly. |
|||||||||||
Donut County
Brief thoughts: This game is fairly tame, with the main issue being that a raccoon called BK is dropping people and animals down a portable hole. Despite the long fall, nobody appears to be harmed by this. |

Doom (1993)
Laboratories on the Martian moons were attempting to develop working teleporters, but while they succeeded, the scientists got more than they bargained for -- one of the teleporters malfunctioned, opening a gateway into Hell itself. Now a lone Marine must fight the Hellspawn back through the portal, and stop the invasion from within Hell itself. Brief thoughts: While there's a lot of violence, gore, and demonic references in this game, it's important to remember that the player is actively trying to contain the forces of Hell, not support them. Whether this context is enough to excuse the everything else is a matter of opinion. |

Doom 2: Hell on Earth
Brief thoughts: Like its predecessor, there's a lot of graphic violence and demonic references in this game, and for the same reason - the player is fighting against an invasion by the forces of Hell. That said, it's a matter of opinion whether or not this is enough to justify the game's content. |

Doom 64
Brief thoughts: This is a pretty graphic game, and like the others in this series, you're fighting against literal demons in an attempt to stop their invasion. Additionally, the forces of Hell created a new evil weapon for this invasion, and the player can use it against them. |
|||||||||||
Doom 3
Brief thoughts: Once again, players take on the role of a Marine who ends up trying to stop Hell itself from invading our reality. As such, there's a lot of graphic violence and demonic imagery. Of special mention is the final weapon the player will find, which is powered by the souls of defeated demons. Additionally, players now have the option to kill human allies - a first for the series. |

Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil
Brief thoughts: This expansion has less gore than the main game, and Hellish imagery is still commonplace, but the biggest issue for Christians will likely be a new item called the Artifact. While the player uses it to thwart the forces of Hell, it was originally made by demons and uses human souls as its fuel source. |

Doom 3: BFG Edition
Brief thoughts: As this is an upgraded version of Doom 3, all of the moral issues found in that game are also present here; they're just nicer to look at. For a quick recap, the player is attempting to stop Hell itself from invading our world, and they're primarily using graphic violence to do it. |

DOOM (2016)
Hilariously, this game continues the story from Doom II: Hell on Earth, effectively retconning the events of Doom 3 and Doom 3: ROE out of the series. Brief thoughts: Once again, the player character finds themselves fighting tooth and nail to stop Hell itself from invading our reality. This means that there's a LOT of blood and gore, plus plenty of references to Hell and demons. However, the new Glory Kill system and the brutish way the Marine behaves makes it a lot harder to excuse things, as it definitely looks like we're starting to enjoy the violence a little too much. |

Dracula: Love Kills
Brief thoughts: Like most vampire-centric media, this game is saturated with blood, dark imagery, and occult references. Additionally, some of the villainesses wear rather revealing clothing. On the flip side, sparing your foes is rewarded, and Dracula is playing the role of a romantic hero! |

Draw Puzzle
Brief thoughts: There's nothing to worry about here, as this is basically a video game version of a coloring book. |
|||||||||||
Drop the Number
Have you ever played 2048? This game takes that simple concept and mixes it with Tetris styled gameplay, creating a fun new spin on adding up numbered blocks! Brief thoughts: The only issue with this game is the presence of advertisements and in-game purchases. The former can be permanently removed for a one-time payment of $4. |
|||||||||||
Ducktales Remastered
Brief thoughts: Cartoonish violence is used to subdue enemies, but there is a bigger issue - Scrooge's behavior. His greed drives the story, and most of his dialogue consists of insulting the other characters, including friends and family. |
|||||||||||
Dwarfs?!
You rule the roost as the Overseer of a new Dwarf colony. Guide your dwarfs to riches, protect them from dangerous hazards, and fight vicious monsters as you aim for a place on the leaderboards! Brief thoughts: The biggest concern about this game is that it features fantasy creatures (etc, Dwarfs and Goblins) fighting each other. Everything is shown in a very tame and family friendly way, however. |

Dynomite! Deluxe
Brief thoughts: The closest thing to objectionable content this game has to offer is that the eggs you're smashing sometimes hatch, but to be very blunt, I get the impression that's not meant to be taken seriously. |
