This page features a list of 132 games I've reviewed that were particularly fun. Of course, lists like this are going to be subjective, but I suspect that many gamers will agree with most of my choices. That said, everyone is perfectly free to disagree with my silly opinion on the topic.
A word of caution though: the list below does not take into account how well a game fits into a Christian worldview. The only criteria being looked at here is whether or not it was fun to play.

In this beautiful and meditative game, you control the actions of a humanoid robot who brings life to a large undersea world. But this robot is not entirely alone; a dark presence waits in the deep, bringing suffering and even death into paradise!
Brief thoughts: While there is some violence, none of it is without reason, nor does the player inflict any of it. The majority of the "violent" content is nothing more than sharks eating smaller fish anyway.

This is a very, very dark take on the old story of Alice in Wonderland. Having suffered the loss of her family, Alice Liddel has gone quite insane, and Wonderland, the fantasy world where she can escape her bleak reality, is falling apart.
Brief thoughts: There is a large amount of objectionable material in this twisted version of Wonderland, but the clincher is that the darkest part of the story will crosses a line that many people, even non-Christians, will find abhorrent.

Ever wanted to drive a big truck? Now you can - enjoy driving through the United States in this surprisingly fun and relaxing simulation. Once you've made enough money hauling freight, you can even hire help and build a proper delivery company!
Brief thoughts: Every so often, there's a new DLC or in game billboard that exists to raise awareness of some real life issue, but this is hardly a problem.

During an archaeological dig, a man named Daniel became the target of an ancient curse. Now hunted by a being known only as the Shadow, he fled to Castle Brennenburg where a man known as Baron Alexander would be able to protect him. Under Alexander's guidance, Daniel began performing a disturbing warding ritual, but eventually Daniel couldn't rationalize his actions anymore. Distraught, he drank the Amnesia Mixture and prepared to undergo a journey to atone for his actions.
Brief thoughts: While there is a lot of dark and unsettling content, a key part of the game's storyline involves the player character redeeming themselves. Whether this is enough to offset everything else is up to you.

In this unique horror game, you take on the role of a toddler who's trying to find his mother. You're not alone, however, as your faithful teddy bear has accompanied you on your adventure.
Brief thoughts: While this game may seem like a strange supernatural horror story, it's actually telling a pointed story about a common problem many families face - everything just seems supernatural and weird because the protagonist isn't old enough to understand what's really going on around them.

Everyone's favorite Nerd has found himself trapped in some crappy games, again. In order to free himself, he must play through the slock and defeat the person responsible for this mess.
Brief thoughts: The large amount of swearing and unnecessary gore in this game is a big issue, as is the level based around old erotic games.

Fun-O-Meter: | |
In this underwater Metroidvania, a mermaid named Naija has allowed her curiosity to lead her farther and farther from home, and as she explores the ruins of past civilizations, she discovers that there might be a disaster looming over her head as well.
Brief thoughts: Creatures in Aquaria regularly eat one another, as you'd expect in a ecosystem or food chain. However, the real problems come from the game's story, which describes people being punished for severe crimes like cannibalism and blasphemy.

It's time to fight against a never ending armada of aliens in this classic arcade game by NAMCO. Just be sure to keep your starship from getting captured while you're aiming for that elusive high score!
Brief thoughts: As this is one of the earliest arcade games, there's not much to worry about - just some very mild violence as players and aliens shoot each other.

This is a Steam rerelease of the classic Pac Man game. Everybody knows the drill by now: you spend the game guiding Pac Man around the maze while eating dots, munching fruits, while avoiding Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde!
Brief thoughts: This is a rerelease of the classic Pac Man game; there's really nothing to worry about here.

In this unique game, players are tasked with manipulating the game's mechanics in order to solve puzzles in unorthodox ways!
Brief thoughts: Everything in this game, even the skulls and ghosts, are just a token or game piece to be manipulated.

Genre: | Bullet Hell / Rhythm |

In this rhythm based shoot 'em up, the levels you play through are created by the music you select. Additionally, you can build a fleet of custom ships, complete difficult Shadow Missions, customize your favorite ships with upgrade modules, and compete for high scores in multiplayer contests.
Brief thoughts: The biggest issue with this game is that both Challenge modes have been known to select songs with explicit or mature lyrics. If you're only playing your own songs, then there isn't anything to worry about.

Genre: | Match 3 |

Fun-O-Meter: | |
Of the original three Bejeweled games, this is easily the best version. With eight different game modes, there's going to be something here for every Match 3 fan.
Brief thoughts: Not only is there no offensive content to worry about, this is clearly the best iteration of the series so far.

Revived by the power of the Miracle, the Penitent One is set off on a quest to presumably heal the world and ascend to his proper place in the Cradle of Affliction.
Brief thoughts: This game is not for the faint of heart, as it depicts gruesome violence, disturbingly detailed gore, twisted deformations of the human body, and a very distorted adaptation of Catholicism in which there is no real Salvation.

A pair of indie game developers have been kidnapped, and now it's up to their current project, a little robot called Tetrobot, to come and rescue them. The twist is that Tetrobot can collect matter and, using Tetris-style physics, manipulate it to their own advantage.
Brief thoughts: This game is very family friendly - at its worst, the player may squish mindless slimes by dropping a block on them, or the player's robot can be destroyed if it comes into contact with a hazard (slimes, lava, TNT etc).

Cursed by a powerful demon, Zangetsu travels the world, battling monsters and slaying demons wherever he finds them. During his journey, he may be joined by new allies and change his destiny.
Brief thoughts: As this is a game about fighting demons, everything has a demonic theme to it - including the heroes. However, this game also presents evil as something to be defeated, not embraced.

For all of its science fiction and post-apocalyptic elements, Borderlands is something of a modern spaghetti western. Vault Hunters replace the common drifters, while the vicious skags replace the iconic wild coyotes. Indians have been replaced with mystical aliens, the loyal steed with dune buggy like Outrunners, and the desperadoes with, well, space desperadoes. It's a fun, not-so-serious romp across a lawless desert landscape.
Brief thoughts: While this game is a lot of fun, there's a notable problem with the way its characters behave - thanks to the ease of recovering from death, violence has become an acceptable way to deal with any and all disputes.

Five years after the events of the original game, the CEO of Hyperion, a cruel man called Handsome Jack, is trying to take over Pandora! Now, a new group of talented Vault Hunters have risen up to defend the planet - for a sizable fee, of course!
Brief thoughts: The Borderlands series is filled with objectionable content, be it the violent gunplay or the darker aspects of its lore. So while these games are a lot of fun, Christians should be wary of what these games depict.

Like many other video game heroes, Tim wants to rescue his princess. But, he's not perfect, and has made a number of mistakes in his life. Thus, as he searches for the princess, he reflects on the nature of time and how choices in the past can affect the future.
Brief thoughts: The central theme of this game is learning from your mistakes and in turn, learning to forgive yourself. Even considering the dark nature of the ending, this is still a very healthy concept to focus on.
