Definition
MMO is short for Massively Multiplayer Online Game. These games have huge constantly changing worlds to explore, and hundreds or thousands of players share the same in game world when they play them.
Many MMOs are also MMORPGs, which is a specialized subgenre that mixes RPG elements with the rest of the game.
