Glossary Entry: Clip
Definition
There are two common definitions of this term:
1. A clip is small unit of ammunition; ie, a magazine. Technically, a magazine stores ammunition and a clip loads the magazine into the gun, but many games (and gamers) use the terms interchangeably.
2. In computer graphics, clipping refers to hiding areas that shouldn't be seen by only drawing what's inside a selected region. The terms clipping error and noclip both refer to this sort of clipping.
