How to Save and Pause:

Your progress is saved into one of three save slots automatically as you play the game.

To pause, simply view any of the subscreens.

Time needed per session:

How long it takes to progress is generally determined by how long it takes you to figure a combination out, though you can solve many combinations in as little a few minutes.

Keep in mind that some stickers can only be discovered at certain times of the day, so how long you're playing isn't the only factor to consider.

Does this game pose issues for Christian players?

Some players may have concerns
Some of the stickers are references to fantasy creatures, including a few demons. That said, all of the things you'll make are either answers to puzzles or building blocks for creating something else, so whether or not this is too serious I'll leave for you to decide.

Game Overview

Sticker Craft is a puzzle game where you create all sorts of unique stickers by combining existing ones. After completing a short tutorial, you're given just six stickers: "fire", "water", "air", "soil", "tool", and the "stickerizer". Your task is to figure out how to use these six elements to create or capture the remaining 215 stickers. It may sound difficult to guess how combining these simple things could eventually lead to the creation of a world full of places, animals, peoples, and even magical creatures, but it's entirely doable, and a big part of the fun is just poking at things until you figure something new out.

You see, in games like these, the trick boils down to figuring out the logic the developers used when they created their list of different combinations. As an example, matching "fire" with something could mean that we're heating it up, burning it, or trying to create something out of fire. The "tool" sticker is particularly important, as it usually means that we're trying to use a tool of some sort on something else. This saves a lot of time, as we don't need to figure out how to make each and every tool that might be useful.

But, Sticker Craft also throws in a new twist to the object matching formula: Wild Stickers. Unlike normal stickers, you can't create Wild Stickers by combining things. Instead, you need to "lure" the Wild Stickers onto your playfield and then capture them by using the Stickerizer on them before they run away. Once caught, you can use them like any other sticker.

Most of the time, you'll lure Wild Stickers onto your playfield by placing specific stickers on it. In fact, just creating the right stickers is often enough to lure the related Wild Sticker, but there are a few very rare ones that can only be lured during certain times of the day or by performing certain actions. Thankfully, fans of the game have created detailed guides explaining how to do everything, but I'd suggest staying away from those guides for as long as you can - knowing how everything works can really take the fun out of this game.

Overall, this is a cute little puzzle game with plenty of things to see and some unexpected surprises to find along the way. My only real complaint about it is that the music tends to clip and break into static from time to time; just turn it off and use your own music if that bothers you.

Points of Interest

As hard as you want

There are two difficulty modes: hard and casual. In both modes, you can get three hints each day. These hints show you four different stickers you already have, with the promise that at least two of them can be combined to make something new.

The casual mode also provides a short list of stickers you could discover using what you've found so far, and there's no limit to when or how often you can check this list. If you don't already know what stickers can be made, this is a useful way to guide you along.

221 unique stickers to find

While it might take a little imagination to see how two stickers relate to each other, most of the combinations in this game make sense. Helpfully, stickers that cannot be matched with anything are given a special label: their names will start and end with equal signs, like =this= .

Lots of fun references

Many of the more unique stickers are based on internet or gaming culture. These include stickers that represent items from movies or the names of various popular indie games. If something looks like it'll work, try it!

Steam community features

In addition to the many stickers you can collect, this game also includes 17 achievements and a set of Steam trading cards for players to earn. The achievements aren't really anything too special though, as they are generally earned by capturing a specific Wild Sticker or making a lot of combinations, so you'll probably have them all by the end of your first playthrough.

Concerns and Issues

Magic and Folktale References

Players can make all sorts of things by combining their stickers, including many fictional creatures like Medusa or an Ent. Most of this is just fun stuff, but it is possible to create references to Lovecraftian monsters, Angels, Demons, and other less favorable things. These are all depicted with the same cartoonish style, and no actual demons or religious figures are present, so how seriously you want to take this is up to you.

Working QR code

One of the many stickers is a QR code. Surprisingly enough, it's actually scannable and is a functioning link to a webpage that shows a screenshot of this game. This is a hint that'll help you discover one of the more difficult to obtain Wild Stickers.
