Definition
In gaming terms, a tank is a character that can withstand an unusually large amount of damage. Many are also melee fighters, meaning that they only fight at close range.
When someone is playing as a tank, they typically try to use their high defense to draw enemy fire away from their squishier party members. On the other hand, enemy tanks are often minibosses or bosses.
