Glossary Entry: Speedrun

Sometimes, it's fun to try to beat a game as quickly as possible. This often evolves elaborate tricks to sequence break, exploit bugs or just move through areas very quickly.

This is known as a speedrun, as it's an attempt to run through a game at full speed.
