Glossary Entry: Selfie

A "selfie" is a picture of yourself. More specifically, these are usually taken with a smartphone and then posted on social media.

Whether or not taking selfies is seen as a bad thing tends to depend on how many selfies someone posts as well as how tasteful they are.

For example, taking a few pictures of yourself while you're on vacation is unlikely to bother anyone, but taking a few dozen pictures of yourself posing in front of your grandmother during her open casket funeral will likely raise some eyebrows.
