Definition
A screenshot or screen capture is an image that shows what was displayed on a screen. For example, a screenshot of a game is an image showing what the game displayed to the player at that moment in time.
Most games these days allow the player to take screenshots - if you're running a game through Steam, you can take screenshots by pressing F12 during play.
