Glossary Entry: Pixel hunting

Definition

Point and click adventure games typically have the player locate and interact with objects by clicking on them. Unfortunately, sometimes the objects are nearly invisible - often because they are too small or too similar to the background color.

When this happens, the player's focus shifts from solving a puzzle to sniffing out the specific pixel required to continue the game.

This is pretty annoying, to say the least!
