Glossary Entry: Moral Guardian
Definition
A moral guardian is someone who is attempting to fight against a perceived threat to society. For example, many moral guardians want to keep things like swearing, gore, and sex out of children's entertainment.
Unfortunately, many self-appointed moral guardians are also overzealous to the point of crusading against things that don't exist or things that they don't understand. This can wind up causing more damage than whatever it is they are fighting against.
