Glossary Entry: Invincibility Frames

Definition

Also known as an "iframe", invincibility frames are specific frames of a character's animation where they cannot be harmed by in-game events.

These are often used to allow the character to perform an action without being interrupted, but skilled players can exploit them to let attacks or other hazards harmlessly pass through their character - even if the hazard isn't normally avoidable.
