Glossary Entry: Gibs

Definition

Named after giblets, this is the word for the miscellaneous flesh, blood and organs leftover after a particularly violent death in a video game. In general, this resembles thick, chunky salsa.

Gibs are notoriously commonplace in First Person Shooters - a detail that's not very surprising considering that this was the genre that coined the term.
