Definition
A forum is a section of a website where people can discuss various topics. Unlike a chat, a forum does not require the participants to be online at the same time, and can thus be used to talk about something with multiple people in a more casual setting.
Users are usually required to create an account on the forum before they can post anything. Each discussion is usually also separated into its own thread, which allows people to have many conversations at once.
