Glossary Entry: First Person Puzzler

This is a type of puzzle game where the player sees the game's world from the viewpoint of their character (ie, a first person viewpoint). As the goal of these games is to solve puzzles, the player is usually tasked with figuring out how to manipulate the environment in the correct way, possibly by means of solving inventory puzzles or some unique physics related mechanics.

Perhaps the most popular games in this genre are Portal and its sequel.
