Glossary Entry: Edutainment

Edutainment refers to video games that are supposedly educational instead of just entertaining. Unfortunately, many if not most edutainment games aren't that much fun - put simply, they put so much stress on being educational that they forgot to be an entertaining game.

Thanks to this stereotype, "edutainment" just means "low quality game" to a lot of people.
