Glossary Entry: Drops

Definition

In a lot of games, players can find items after defeating enemies or completing specific in-game tasks. Items that are generated this way are called "drops", as in, "this monster drops [such and such item] when defeated".

The items dropped by an enemy are usually determined by what the enemy is - after all, it doesn't make sense for players to acquire cow hides by killing a chicken.
