Glossary Entry: Alchemy
Quick Definition
In medieval fantasy, alchemy is a magical version of chemistry. The original concept was a pseudo-science that sought to find a way to create pure gold from ordinary (or worthless) metals, usually lead.
Many games use the term to describe any method of magical crafting, even when another term (eg, herbalism) would be a better fit.
