Definition

An adblocker is a program that blocks or removes unwanted advertisements. Many, if not most, web browsers these days have one built in.

Despite what some websites may claim, using an adblocker is a good idea, if not a requirement, as there's always a chance that you'll run across an advertisement that spreads malware when viewed or interacted with.
