Quick Definition
AAA games (also known as a "triple-a titles") are to video games what blockbuster movies are to the movie industry. These games frequently cost millions of dollars to produce, and thus they are usually made by the larger and more well-known studios.
Because they have a larger team and more money put into them, they usually feature some of the best graphics and overall design in the industry. To be fair though, a lot of the money goes into advertising for the game, and so these are the titles most gamers (and many non-gamers) are going to recognize, for better or worse.
