Glossary Entry: Lay line

Quick Definition

Many people believe there is a type of magical energy found naturally in the environment. This may be called "chi", "spiritual energy" or any number of things, but the basic idea is that it exists and flows around freely in the air.

This airborne magic energy often flows from one place to another, much like water will flow from high elevations to low elevations. As the energy flows, it forms "rivers", called lay lines. Areas where lay lines converge are said to be hot spots for paranormal activity.

Obviously, this isn't a Christian teaching at all. However, many games draw their magic systems from folklore and some do reference lay lines and airborne energies. Meritous is one such example.
